Educated at St Columba's Edinburgh, Employed by Chester Corporation in the
Mains and Maintenance Section, Served in the Royal Engineers during the
Second World War and took part in the Normandy Landings. Moved South after
the war and employed by Farnham Gas and Electric Co prior to Nationalisation
Local Engineer at Petworth in 1958 and retired in 1977
